Acrostic Poetry Contest contest entry

Recognized

Rainbow colors are used to augment and elucidate this two-dimensional 9x acrostic, not to suggest that Putin is secretly gay, but you are welcome to imagine that as well.

This piece was written as the invasion of Ukraine was beginning. It only got a single review and 20 views initially, not even getting a mention in the contest, and seemed worth the astronomical expense of promoting on the page (over 100 member dollars, geez). A large part of my portfolio is about repression and censorship. A sampling of entries on the subject include Alimony, Jaws, How to count to 10 in the CCP, Reverse Epiphany, Muted. The Darth Martin series is a classic exercise in speed writing (entries took 30-60 minutes to write) bypassing increasing levels of censorship enacted directly in response to my contest submissions.

The great image used here is from this article, displayed with attribution under fair use.

Sorry about the small scaled font above. Use of word wrap is untenable for acrostics. Just zoom in:

-pinch and pull on smartphones, or rotate orientation to landscape
-on PCs, hold down the CTRL key and scroll your mouse wheel to change your browser zoom
-on Macs, I don't know what to tell you but Google surely knows

2D Acrostic Challenge #1 (I did not enter, but provided the examples for CAT and PUTIN)
