Seven little girls, as close as can be.25 total reviews

This moved me greatly. I have six children, at one point I had five, ten years and under. They are all close, and all I could ever wish for as a mother. You have obviously been blessed, even though you lost your dad so young. This is a gorgeous poem. I can see why it won.

Wow six sisters and you all get along. That's phenomenal. The overall tone of the poem is a sense of gratitude. The atmosphere in the second verse is sad but overall the poem gives a lovely feeling of harmonious relationships. The rhyming pattern suits the subject and gives the poem nice rhythm. In these uncertain times six sisters would be a blessing not only to you but to your mother. There are so many old people out there afraid and alone. Working in a nursing home you would know all about that. God bless and take care.

Thank you for the lovely review. It was very hard to lose my Dad but we made it through. I love my sisters more than I can say. We have been through all of life?s pain and joys together I am very lucky.

The 7 sisters made me think of the Pleiades. I'm assuming this is biographical? As an only child, I enjoy this glimpse into what life in a big family is like.

Yes, this is my real family. I loved life in a big family and still do.

I want your sisters. I have a sister and I try not to talk to her all that much. She's a bit of a drama queen that thinks the world revolves around her. Maybe you can just adopt me into your family of sisters :)

Congratulations on winning the contest with this lovely poem. I enjoyed your rhymed description of your big, fragile but happy family. The title and matching flowers establish the mood perfectly. Cheers- Joan

I am so very sorry I do not have a six for this. This is quite beautiful and a remarkable photo you've chosen to go along with your wonderful poem. The love of your sisters comes through so strong, the ties that bind you and you surely have paid tribute to that love. I hope you frame and hang this in your home in a prominent place (as should all your sisters!) Very well done. Good Luck. Great job!

The author's words were joyous, descriptive, heartfelt and creative. The reader pondered on the theme of this poem. The bond of these sisters
is filled with love. The artwork is perfect and compliments this poem well. May you be well and safe.

Thank you so much. I think the theme is that I never want to be without any of my sisters, ever.

What a wonderful family you have! You stayed close over the years and learned how to support one another through difficult times. That's the best we can hope for in a family. Congratulations on the win!
I guess I wasn't notified of this post because it was in a contest.

Congratulations on your first place finish in the Family Poem Contest! The close relationship you describe among you and your sisters is convincing, very well-written in beautifully rhymed couplets.

-Nice image and
presentation, Terry.
-This is a well written
poem that shows the
deep bond of love
you have with your sisters.
-Very good meter and rhyme,
as well as descriptive detail.
-It had to be very difficult
losing your dad at such a young age.
-The concluding verse is very good, too.
-Congratulations on the win; I can
see why you did!
