Wow, I give you a lot of credit for your bravery and selflessness with how you responded to finding your mother. Many people (probably me included) would not have been so generous. You must have a truly forgiving heart. And you left quite a cliff hanger at the end--write more and tell us about your father, please!

Oh, thank you so much. I never blamed my mother. Just couldn't. I thought she would have had a very good reason to do what .she did. More is soon to follow which will explain a great deal. Thanks again for a great review. All best. Ulla

I look forward to reading more of this story!

Hi, Ulla,
I read this chapter in one go. It's very well written and seems so emotional and yet informative. I kept wondering what I would ask first, but then everybody has their own priorities.
Well done. Keep up the good work. :)

Tessa, what can I say. I am so pleased for the praise and the lovely rating. Thank you so much. It means such a lot to me. I'm working so hard on improving, and so many of you have taught me so much. Thanks for your continuing support. All best, Ulla :)

I am looking forward to hearing about your real father. It is sad that she had no other children. I am sure she spent 50 years regretting the day that she gave her only child up for adoption. What a miracle that you should walk back into her life.
Suggestions:
There was so many things I didn't know,
There WERE so many things I didn't know,
but I tucked in with a relish.
but I tucked in with relish.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Yes, it's quite a story, that is still to come. I've made the corrections, and thanks for pointing them out. Amazing I never saw them. All best. Ulla
Comment from Gloria ....
This is a heartwarming story Ulla. How gracious of you not to harbour ill feelings toward your mother. She was thrilled to finally be with you.
I like a true story with a happy ending.
Very nicely done.

Wow! What a story! I'm so glad you went to see her. It's like you were old friends, the way you tell it. It sounds like you both were more than pleased. And since you were her only child, I imagine she often regretted giving you up. Now you have each other. It's never too late. Such an uplifting read. :)

This piece was packed with emotion and charged with feeling. I liked the readability of it, it flowed well and was easy to follow. Good spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and I'd like to see where the story goes from here. Good job.

I'll soon be out of 6 stars, but I couldn't pass up giving a 6 for this chapter. What an incredible meeting and what I like about this is that your mother was actually ready to talk to you about her life over the past decades, which you had missed. That was a great blessing.
The other great treasure in this whole business, was that you harboured no guilt and condemnation for your mother. That was another great blessing.
I so love this story, because you were able to find your mother, and able to let by gones be by gones.
Well done, Ulla. Many people wouldn't have been so forgiving, but that was a wonderful gift for your mother, just knowing that you held no grudges, or hard feelings towards her.

Oh, abbasjoy, thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm so pleased that you liked it. It was very special for both me and my mother. How could I possibly judge her. I knew she must have had her reasons which she certainly did. All to be revealed very soon. I so appreciate the awesome six. Thanks again. All the best. Ulla

A very happy time for you Ulla, but is sounds almost surreal. You certainly felt the connection which is so wonderful.
I will be curious to see if you will, as I did, locate your father too.

'Oh, Ulla, why would I mind? It's the best thing I've ever been called. Please do call me Mum, I'd love that. I am your mother after all.'
Such a powerful and inspiring chapter, Ulla. The way your mother and you are interacting is really miraculous to me, especially given it took so many years for you to connect with her. Thanks for sharing this very personal story with all of us.
Hugs, Bev
