As always, your Sense has given me a smile and laugh. Thanks for the light humor. I especially enjoy numbers: 6, 9, 10, and 12. Sorry to get to this so late. Husband, dog and I went on a rest vaca and ended up seeing horrible tornado damage. Not so restful!

Doesn't sound so good. But, maybe quieter. How is your extended family doing? Karen

We're all here tonight and lots of tears, not mine. One is sick and one was having a 10-year-old girl hissy fit.

I am sorry you have so much to contend with. I had boys and was spared the hissy fits, but we had a lot of slammed doors.
But, since I had control of the food, I generally won:-)

This compilation, Common Sense for Seniors 361-372, contains another dozen noteworthy notions which one can read and see that the words are carved in stone.

I always look forward to reading your common sense posts. I just wish my memory would let me keep them for future reference. You are quick, witty, with a touch or two of naughty, which are fantastic attributes for a woman.
Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed the humor of this post. I see I have missed a bunch of previous posts in this book. Numbers 4 and 6 are wise statements. I enjoyed the pun of #7. Have a blessed week. Carol

Love the Eleanor Roosevelt quote. So damned appropriate. These continue to entertain and sometimes come at just the right moment. Keep it up, Karen. Gretchen

Superb! Every one a goodie and so clever! I don't know where you get them from, Karen, but well done for bringing a smile and laughter into our lives! My favourites: #1,5,6 and 10 (with probably #10 top of the pops!) Thank you, Karen. Take care Debbie

Some are mine. Some I get from my old notebooks that I started writing g stuff in my the time I was eight years old. I no longer remember if they were mine or not. And some I borrow after re-tooling them a bit. I believe in recycling. "-)

Hello Karen,
your post was just what I needed. I read another post that had left me a little upset, but when I read the first one of these, I laughed out loud. We need to keep everything in perspective. When I looked at the picture you chose, it reminded me of a card I bought. It shows two old ladies walking. One says, "my joints are stiff." The other replies, "you're rolling them too tight." Thanks for the laughs gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

Thanks for the read. How do you cut apart a chicken? What kitchen tool do you use? If you know drop me a line. Karen
reply by patcelaw on 17-Mar-2025
It has been many years since I've got a chicken apart, probably 15 or more years since I even bought a whole chicken. Just make sure you have a good knife and I believe I started by cutting off the wings then I cut off the thigh and the leg together, then I destroyed the thigh and the leg Then I cut off the back bone part of the chicken leaving the breast to last that's the best as I remember it at all.

Thank you. I normally buy my pack of skinned thighs. But my sister brought me a big broiler.
I think I will just bake it whole.
I will bake my lemon chicken, eat the wings and legs. Then shred the rest. halve it, One part for chicken and dumplings. and the other half for chicken soup. Thanks again, Karen

Karen, these splashes of wisdom would be heady if not both witty and humorous...Moreover, they are sagacious and logical with nothing other than positive outcomes...Great public service announcements. teafor2
