Hi Gypsy, beautiful presentation. I love the forget-me-not flower. That use to be my FS photo--then I got cancer and said what the heck, and I put my photo up. I like how you associate moods to the tides--good analogy.
Of special note:
Will you ever stay
by my side?
(If only)
Well done. Keep the blue waters flowing. Sorry that I'm so behind on my reviewing. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

Oh thank you. That photo was taken about a year or so after my cancer. It's now about 5 years old. Xo. M

Very well-written and beautifully presented.
I like the ebb and flow of moods. As one who admits my moods sometimes hit the shore a little to quick, I can identify with the words.

This poem caused me to smile because of my FanStory constant reviewers, he's been with me for years, mentioned one time that I'm 'definitely a moody female.' Hmmm, makes me wonder. I know it was the moon tides, right?

Yes, moon tides. It's okay to be moody. Whenever women express feelings we are labeled as moody as if it was a bad word. In the 40s, Dr. Walter Freeman and Dr. James W. Watts performed lobotomy on women and children for children tantrums and women moods....sometimes for depression but not all. I'm so happy I don't live in that barbarian time.
Thank you very much, Barbara. I appreciate you.

Another fine poem, Gypsy....any any poem the uses the word "trust" has to be good, no? And "moody tides," could be describing my ex-wife, although "trust" makes me think otherwise!

Those moods do make consistent and close loving hard to maintain. Your sijo poem made me think of the moon's effect on women and their menstrual cycles as PMS does affect moods!

Of course the 1 Corinthians 13 definition of love is the unconditionality of love, which is the only truly valid one, love seems to take many forms, but the truly giving all one, expecting nothing in return, is the right one. Beautifully written Gypsy, blessings Roy
