Your mother was a wise lady, and I love how she explained that. Some lemons can be advantageous, but bad ones should be watched out for. You're right. Not all lemons are bad.

My Mother made lemon curd often with lemons and her recipe is something I have kept as it is very special and I always enjoy the results. There are some bitter lemons in life and we should recognise them and move on, a poignant write Debi, love Dolly x

Hi Debi, you are correct. Just like one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch, one bitter lemon doesn't ruin the whole bunch. We need to spit out it and not be foolish to try that one again.
Your poem reads and flows well and your message is clear.
I especially liked:
Do what you must do, to keep the positive in life
Don't take the personality, of lemons that cause strife
(It just so much more fun, and tastier, to be a banana or a pineapple, or a delicious fruit salad. Lol. D, can't you see me walking around with the top of a pineapple on my head?)

p.s. Can we still afford to but lemons? I haven't checked the price lately. When they hit $1 for One, I started to buy limes.

What a wonderfully flowing poem that left me feeling warm and cozy inside. I like how it gave me lots to think about this evening. It stayed with me even while I was standing in the kitchen doing dishes. Great job!

took a phrase most know and expanded it to tell of how some
people abuse their 'power.' Your lines flowed smoothly with great
rhymes. Your message was clear in a way that others could learn
from rather than just accusing or abusing like some do--no, not
you. Yes, we all have had, and will have our share of lemons in
life. The meaning of a person's personality is how s/he deals with
those. Do they learn from them or turn on others because they don't
believe they deserved those lemons. Words can be like soured
lemons thrown out to hurt others on purpose. Does that make the
person better than others? S/he tends to believe it does. If I feel
bad (lemons), then I'm gonna make everyone feel worse. I liked the
way you brought your faith into your poem. I agree--that's the time
to take stock of your life and faith as God will guide you. A lemon
when handled tactfully will hopefully teach rather than cause pain.
Your picture was a perfect accompaniment to your poem.

There's one thing about lemons, they are very sour it's true, but they are certainly versatile, if one sprinkles them on fish, they add much flavour, typified we squeeze them onto pancakes they flatter, if we make drink, it is very refreshing, if we eat them raw, they set the teeth on edge, this is beautifully wrutten Debi, blessings Roy
