Hi Rachelle.
I hardly know what to say. This is quite an interesting poem. The writing style is very good because you use words in context that make the picture very clear in the reader's mind. That's exactly what poetry is supposed to do and you did a great job. You even growled at the end. I had to check my poetry manual to see if growling is fair. The poem's rhyme and meter are well-crafted, enhanced by unique commentary that adds to the reading experience. Good luck in the contest

I especially like your poem because it is musically rhythmic. I also like it because you tell us in rhyme, how you feel about yourself...the wild cat.

Well, this is cool. There was a guy at my gym who wore leopard print workout gear. I wore tiger-striped gear in the '80s. I could not in my life know how to coordinate leopard print into my furniture or throws. The poem reads at a good, easy pace. Well good luck.

There was a guy at my gym in the pool who wore a super tight and tiny tiger-striped biker-short-style bathing suit. Oy. He was easily in his fifties, and it looked like they belonged to his pre-teen granddaughter or something. Very memorable.
