I like the beauty of this haiku in both words and picture, but even more the message that both show. In the storms of life, we're like the flower - bent, but not broken, but even if we break, God can restore us. Good luck in the contest.

Our lives are like the flower standing in the face of torrential rains. As we stand strong, we will again bloom and be a beauty to this world. I loved your haiku much, Patricia.

What a clever Haiku about a flower in the rain. I like the alliteration and the gorgeous presentation. I like your color and the black background works great.
Well done.

Hi Gypsy, your poem is filled with vivid imagery, and your message is clear. People, just like the flower, may become bent, but not broken. The resilience of Man. Well done. Beautiful presentation. Keep the blue waters flowing. Xo. M

I'm so glad you entered this haiku into the contest!! It reminds me of you - as you've been through some torrential storms in life that may have forced you to bend at times but you overcame and grew even stronger while sharing you fragrance to all around you! Hope this does well in the contest!
I wondered why you didn't use "but" in the last line - as I thought "bent but not broken" would work as well but I know you are sensitive to the sound of the words.

The same as a tree bent by the strong wind, it's under stress but not broken, a really wonderful metaphor that speaks of enduring under pressure, well done Gypsy, blessings Roy

Very powerful and short haiku about the resilience of flowers in nature and the lessons humans can draw from the resilience found in nature, we all need to be learn to be flexible and not rigid to survive what fate has in store for us.

Fantastic Haiku. I particularly enjoyed the circular nature of this one. Resilient to begin, bent not broken to end. Definitely one of your best. I love it. Jacqueline

I agree with you here that flowers are resilient and even the most delicate roses seem to survive a storm and still retain the will to blossom, a fine write, love Dolly x
