triolet, rhymed poem
A chapter in the book NaPoWriMo 2020
An Easter Pandemic Story
by sunnilicious
Day 12, NaPoWriMo, April 2020 - Write a triolet poem
*Note: I am writing a triolet poem about Easter and/or Spring. It will be happy. Screw the pandemic. Let me think a little more... Bunnies, chicks, piglets and dog.
* Note: I watched plenty YouTube videos after reading today's writing prompt. Everybody and everything was so nice and pretty. Except. this one mean bunny in a 1971 "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" Movie. It gave me the idea to write this dark poem.
*Note: This year doesn't feel like Easter. I didn't buy peonies or cake, but chocolate bunnies and baskets sales are probably still very high.
*Note: The coronavirus is going to take us all out of this world. Face the facts life is over. Be an optimist if you want, but you'll die in a lie.
*Note: And I am going die alone. This life has not been fair to me. God is taking me out of it all too.
*Note: ...Happy Easter!
