A chapter in the book 2025 Free Verse
Tempestuous Northern Winds
by Gypsy Blue Rose
Brave Soldiers Fight midst tempestuous winds over their war-torn Ukrainian motherland
her arms push away Russia and her feet are knee-deep in the Black Sea's menacing wuthering waves
Mother Nature Dreams of Peace
both countries' cotton fields
waving peace- white scarves
to the passing clouds their winds shake hands Prayers
old babusias pray for peace and winds of change
amidst the serene songs of divine symphony  |
Wuthering = to blow with a dull roaring sound
Babusia = grandmother in Ukrainian. sound: Bah-boo-syah.
Wave a white flag = symbolizes a universal gesture of peace and surrender.
