Npenny: I make it a point to read a piece or more from everyone who has reviewed my work! I don't just grab for the highest points or dollars. FanStory should be about give and take. Give advice, and get advice, we work together to become better. Please review my work as I review yours. This shouldn't be a popularity contest, or one that allows only the highest bidders to be reviewed. Within the FanStory doors we all have something wonderful to share. Review the two centers, the last pages, those who reviewed you. There could be a hidden gem in the masses. |

Npenny: NH Writers Project's 2013 Writers Day Learned a lot, wonderful speakers. Keynote speaker Andre Dubus III, author of The Cage Keeper and House of Sand and Fog. Dynamic speaker who encourages to "let the story find you" . The pitch was an experience, to say the least. Nerve wracking, but ended up with some good advice. I gave away too much plot, and should have focused more on the emotions my readers might connect with. Back to the drawing board! I encourage you to share your experiences if you have ever delivered a pitch, whether good or not so good. |

Npenny: I will be making my first pitch this Saturday, April 6 at the NH Writers Conference, of my completed mystery novel, Origin Unsubstantiated. Any advice on making a winning pitch? |
