Weyr59:
Has anyone put aside a manuscript for years, rather than months? I have a manuscript I started in college, and had worked on, but I can't bring myself to work on it even though my feelings are telling me its time. How do I handle this?
michaelcahill: I have the same problem with hundreds of things I wrote. It's as though they aren't mine and I'm violating someone else's work. It IS yours. Dive into it, edit it and rip it to shreds with all your new insights and skills. USE IT. Keep copies of the good old days, but don't let it go to waste like I DO. LOL -
Gloria ....: Burn it and start again. Everything that was genuine will still be with you. :)) -
Weyr59: Thank you. Even though I'm working on something new, I've reread a lot of my old stuff and it's all percolating (if you'll pardon the pun)! -
