Hershy reminds me of a cat our family had when I was growing up. I taught the cat - his name was Tiger - to jump up in my arms if I stood in front of him. A number of times a visitor to the house was surprised if he hesitated after entering the front door. Tiger always greeted everyone at the door, and if they stopped for a few seconds, Tiger would leap up, and if no arms reached out for him, he would attach himself to the unwary visitor with his claws.

I found the likes of Hershey comical, intriguing and adventurous to say the least. I'm sure, loving May enter at some point.
Is this a book already in publication?
Thanks, John

Thank you, John! Yes, it is on Amazon and in the Kindle store. In my author's notes at the bottom of this posting, I listed my author's page link too (but Fanstory won't highlight it), and I posted two reviews of marvelous authors from other countries. :)

What age group is it geared to? I have grandchildren aged ? 12-10-7-5-4

It's really a book for the whole family, although the youngest ones might need someone to read it to them. Perfect for the 12 and 10-year-olds I think... Thank you for asking. :) I am heading to bed now. I've been up all night, but I'll try to check in this evening!

What a cute chapter, and I would have already killed me some kids and a cat. Very fun chapter to read and enjoy. You did a great job, and I'm ready to read more of Hershey's antics. Have a great day. Shirley

Well Hershy is most definitely a handful! Great storyline and personalities with the characters. You have nailed the brother sister relationship. Kitty tornado -> a hoot of a description. Anyone with experience of a simaese cat knows how verbal they are. The boss and his wife make for an interesting twist to the dinner CATastrophe! I anticipate kids are going to love this book, filled with five seal point adventures!

I didn't think Siamese got that big. I have never owned one. I have two orange tabbies; one weighs 15 pounds and one a little over 17. My crazy daschund
I have to ask you a question--do cats have elbows? Because that's how far up Hershy that sauce had stained him, and there was some on his chest, too. Even his shoulders were a bright orange. (All of my cats and my cats before these two, only dip their paws into things they shouldn't and then lick the food off the paws. I've never had one go all the way in.)

17 pounds is pretty big. And I really had a cat named Hershy, and he really did what I describe in the book. LOL. Right to his belly, he was orange. LOL. I ALSO had company coming for dinner - my new in-laws! Of course I had no kids, but that Siamese bugger is where the idea came from for this book. He was mischievous, but very loving. I miss him. All my Siamese, actually. They are VERY loud, but lots of fun.
Thanks, Barbara.

Hi Dawn, This is just great. Love it. The spaghetti scene is just lovely and hilarious. I'm so pleased for you that you'll have this book published by Christmas. You know I love cats. Always had them. Had five until a week ago and now sadly down to four. All the best. Ulla:)))

Dear Ulla, I'm so sorry you lost one of your cats - they are so precious to us, aren't they? Thank you for this lovely review, my friend.
-
They sure are. I know you have your precious one. Yeah, it was sad that we lost Pepina. Her and I were so very close. I wrote a little piece about her and what happened. I miss her so much. Hugs
-
I miss all of mine who passed, too, and my dogs. You're very welcome, Ulla.

Hershey like most cats, is completely ignorant of anything to do with pleasing a human, they have no concept of service or selfless love like dogs, although dogs can also be a little sneaky! Well done Dawn, I loved this opening story, well done, blessings, Roy

This is charming, Dawn! A neighbour used to have a Siamese cat. What I remember most is the deep growl he had. Sounded more like a dog than a cat! The spaghetti bracelets are hilarious!

You must be so excited to have your book coming out for Christmas.
Siamese are the smartest cats ever, so I can only imagine what Hershey will get himself into next.
The spaghetti sauce fiasco is fantastic.

Siamese cats can be very mischievous and headstrong with a loud
meow that sounds like a baby crying. They are dickenses, for sure.
It sounds as if Hersey is one of them. I've had several, but luckily
this never happened to me, but could have had something similar.
Clearly written with interesting interaction with all players. Marilyn
