My experience over the years placed me with mostly traditional publishers. However, I have experience both acceptance and rejection as well. Normally, I would not respond to this, but the story intrigues me to the point of wishing you the best in selling your write. What I have come to understand is giving the publisher a hooker for his or attention. You have done that with, Paige is an heiress from Massachusetts, who inherited an antebellum mansion in Savannah. As a child, Paige would spend summers in this mansion with her aunt and uncle. She fondly remembers these carefree summers and the family folklore surrounding this home. Already on the first day, Paige wonders if the ghost her aunt told her about was real.
Sets a stage for interest.
Now, bring the publisher's mind into something of caparison. Use examples in comparison with the same genre you have read that had been a big seller.
These sparks desire to continue the read with expectations
Barbara, I am so out of touch with modern thinking now, but what I mentioned at one time worked. Who knows it just might happen again. My blessings to you as I do hope someone can see the story as a great seller. You have done well, regardless.

this is an excellent letter, Barbara, I didn't spot any errors. it was clearly stated and gave a hint of what was inside. I enjoyed reading it and pray your novel finds a publisher.

Sounds like a fantastic novel. I will look up your first novel on Amazon, it really sounds intriguing. I wish you the very best in your writing career. I am just getting interested in writing some short stories simply because I enjoy it.

I thought this was well written. My suggestion get to the point even faster. I don't know that you need to include information on browsing their website or Writer's Digest. Not important. What follows IS important and should be brought to their attention sooner in my opinion. Outside of that great job. This does a wonderful job of selling your novel. Good luck!
