Those semi-connected descriptive lines add up really well into the big picture of insanity. The imagery and the emotions show really well the state of mind! Great lines and presentation!

I absolutely love the images here, and the style is just wonderful. There is not a single wasted word. The picture is wonderfully appropriate as well.
I would give this a six in a heartbeat if I had one, alas I don't.

Haunting . . . I read it four times. You successfully convey a sad, resignation to peaceful oblivion as opposed to jumbled thoughts, uncertainty and confusion. The fact that some lines rhyme and some do not makes perfect sense. Very well done.

it does communicate loss of reality based thinking, but your poem is very organized and flowing which conflicts with your message. i'm not quite sure how, but i would mix it up a bit. feelings of despair do, however, come through. why, acceptance? -- why go gently? --- rage, rage rage! best, hi

thank you for your review. i believe that rage does not necessarily accompany insanity. i'm sure it does not always. hopelessness after a long struggle accompanies insanity in many cases leading to acceptance of unending despair. it is actually a very serene feeling.

This is a well written poem, with good rhythm, rhyme and flow. The color red reflects "red ink trickling down a windowpane" and " eyes void, distant stare" is captured by the artwork. Well done.
