Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Because of the photography along with the way this was written,
This one of my favorite. Flowing smoothly. I can see the Eagle.
What also I appreciated was the after poem small lesson.
I am not familiar with most of this, it helped me understand.

I can't thank you enough for sharing your photo.. it's awesome to me that you were able to get him while he was shrieking! I appreciate your authors notes on mono rhyme.. I didn't know any of that..you do a good job with it! I love the ending.. just a peek would probably be wise, right? I'm so glad I stopped to spend some time with this, because it really was worthwhile, I enjoy your work!

Thank you so much Dawny. It helps to have a good camera. I was 200 yards away and across the river from it.

This was an ingeniously designed poem that reflected the glory of that king of birds--the mighty eagle. If man could have such freedom in the depths of the sky, it would indeed be a magical life. Well done, Tom.

Thank you rod. Yes, to be an eagle would be exciting.

I like this poem a lot, Treischel. Yet! This is the first time I think the repeating line at the end of each stanza does not really help the flow, it sorts of mimics it.

Loved the rest of it though.
Best wishes,
RG

I enjoyed your continuing the eagle theme with another exciting, long distance photograph and poem. I was surprised that Minnesota has the largest population in the continental U.S.--the better for you with future photos and inspired verse! I admired your monoverse rhyme and literal echoes. More cheers- Joan

Thank you Joan. I plan to write one for the Spring poetry contest using a picture of the nest from a long distance, among the bare branches, showing the melting river ice below it, with partial open water. Probably tomorrow.

Congratulations on such a great photo. Which came first, the rhyme or the picture?
I really enjoyed the poem, its descriptions and flow.
Don't imagine I'll ever come across a nest or an eagle, but if I do, I'll be prepared for the shriek:)

Nicely written mono-rhyming poem, I enjoyed the read and again you have given me some information about the eagle I was not aware of. That is one thing that is nice about fanstory if we are willing to read and think we can get a great education, and none of is too old to learn from others. Patricia
