Nice.
I have watched this very scene a thousand times in my own back yard and so can relate. Your simple choice of words hit the mark. Our squirrels seem to help the birds by tipping everything over onto the ground. :)

You could be describing the feeder in my backyard (which looks exactly like the one in the photo).
Seeds attract birds AND squirrels, that's for sure. And like the speaker, I watch the action from nearby.
Your scene is vivid even without the photo.

OK Heiku but doesn't hold together as well as it m right. But such brief poems are beyond my ability to confidently evaluate. don

I loved this little Haiku.

Good imagery in the short form and so very, very true.

It does seem that the problem of squirrels stealing the food is a universal one!
