I had to stop by and read the end of you book, Barbara. Oh, my! Your characters have been prim and proper until the ending. The ending is a bit shocking.
Well done, my friend.
Sorry about being late reading this. My husband has been very sick. Doctors, hospital, worry, and extra work is taking up all my time.

I realize I haven't read any of this story, but couldn't resist reading the ending. I can tell it was a good story. Lots of good elements: romance, conflict, perhaps a ghost?
Congratulations on finishing a book. Now comes the extra-fun part; finding a company to publish it. Best of luck. (Mastery has had some success.)

Thank you for your support. Yes, a ghost. I have one book published by gandj publishers. It can be found on amazon.com, the title is Two Tattered Hearts. It's a young mother's struggle getting out of an abusive relationship and in the process finds love.

What a cute proposal--sweet and well-described. Good pacing. Good authentic-sounding dialog--especially with diction (like Amos). No issues of spags noticed, but I have one suggestion:
"Remember when we were all in the tunnel, I heard something,(THIS COMMA NOT MANDATORY) and left for a few minutes?"
This makes a satisfying closing to the story. It's nice that they will marry and that he believes in Bradley. :)
Good luck with editing this, getting it published and with your next novel! (Do let me know if you're looking for an affordable editor or proofreader for final drafts--unless you already have one, of course).
Warm Wishes,
rd

Isn't reaching the end of a novel the greatest experience. I know in my experience I fell both lost and happy. Happy that its completed and lost because I'll no longer be with friends, my characters and I always seem to develop a great friendship.
Now comes the hard part, my friend. Trying to find an agent or a publisher. I see Mastery from this site has just had some good fortune in this regard. That proves there is always hope. Good hunting.
I wish you well.

I'm a sucker for happy endings and especially those mushy chick types, but tell anyone, it'll spoil my image of a rough ole country boy. I wish I had been with you for the whole book as I enjoyed every chapter that I read. Great job. :-)

This is an delightful ending, Barbara. Have you determined who's going to publish it? I want to buy an advanced copy if that's possible. Congrats on putting together one of the best yarns on FS or anywhere else.

I was wondering when Cash was going to pop the question. And, what do you know? He finally believes in ghosts.
This is a well written chapter to round off the tale with Cash asking for Paige's hand in marriage, and in a most unconventional manner. That one's for the books.
Well done. It was a great story.
