Well, I'm reading all of these entries in Alicia's contest. As a lover of tanka, I am appreciating the brevity of syllable count provided in the description Alicia provided in her contest prompt. Never heard the term "Lunatica" and I'm glad to know the content needn't be about a lunatic but is actually content desired in a tanka. Loved the play on words with "Mother goose" and the delightful accompanying art work. I love to watch momma and her babies in the spring. And, yes, momma may end up being a lunatic when it is all over LOL! Best of luck in the contest. Sue

I love this - it is filled with such sweet anticipation of those babies, the reward for mama's patience. Great entry in the contest. Good luck with it!

I do not really know much about the rules of the contest, but I'd say good luck in the contest.
But somehow I suspect this contest to have been over by now?
Thanks for the review on my poem!

You captured the eyes that read this poem with that splendid photo of the geese. I loved it.
Perfect syllable count: 3-5-3-5-5.
Words used are simply the natural language of expressions how the message is presented. Thanks for sharing.} Lin

The image is quite beautiful and displays the habit of the goose to nest on water to protect the goslings from predators such as foxes.
Your delightful Lunatika achieves its purpose in just sixteen words and yet ,makes an interesting statement.
Good luck.

Beautiful photo, Tom. I can see that appearing in a Nature Magazine. I have never heard of this style of poetry and went in to see the rules. I also read a couple of the other entries, I have to say, you should easily win. It is perfect. Good luck! xsx Sandra
