How proud and beautiful this male cardinal appears.
It must be so lovely to see these beautiful birds in Spring.
The essence of the bird is captured in this clever 3/5/3 poem.
The amazing colour is shown in the image and the birdsong is
Mentioned as an occurrence each morning.

A great poem and I think most of us would love to hear the cardinal song in the morning. There are no trees outside my bedroom window and no cardinals so I envy your good fortune. Well done, Tom.

Hi, Treischel,
"Morning Sounds" is a good poetic vignette in 3-5-3 format picturing and early morning scene. It has figurative language
(staccato birdsong) that captures the atmosphere.

Cardinals are such beautiful birds. That is a nice photograph. A natural alarm clock. Well, that is nice. Good alliteration sounds/staccato/(bird)song. Great poem.

Right on cue every morning are the cardinals with their staccato cheerful songs. There is no need for the rude alarm for their singing is the lovely tune of the day to brighten our sleepy morning moods.
Great write and well done.
Cheerio, Ritchie. :))

Delightful presentation--your photographs are always a treat. Aren't you lucky to have such a lovely alarm clock! Thank you for sharing your cardinals with us. Your tiny poem is a pleasure to read, and you even included alliteration. Smiles- Joan

Loved the piece. You've inspired me. Will put on FS later. Question: Is this a Haiku?

Thank you Stephen. I like yours too. Yes, it would be a Haiku. One caution, the Japanese frown on using "ing" words.
