I liked this poem. You have created a whimsical and romantic tone, along with solid structure and word choice. The pic is impressive and adds to the piece without it taking the readers attention away. Good alliterative bounce and an easy flow. This is a solid submission.

Willows have that wistful quality about them, guess that's why they are called weeping willows. Your picture compliments your writing very well. You have made good choice of words and rhyming and it was a smooth, enjoyable read. Faye

A weeping willow happy and serenading his dream:
" I will dream there all my thoughts about tomorrow,
Bring my lady there to kiss and clench."
Well done, Tom.

Yes, quite "pretty," including your words and photograph! I enjoyed your regular syllable count and rhymed quatrains. I liked the immediacy of your use of the first person, and your addition of alliteration for even more intensity. Happy weekend- Joan

Thank you Joan. The weekend was delightful. I got out along the swollen waters of the Mississippi with May camera.

Hi, Trische,
"A Pretty Proposition" is an excellent quatrain structured poem with good flow. It has a rhyme scheme of abcb consistently followed. It has good figurative language and imagery. (sit beside your shadow)

Hi

We used to have a weeping willow tree in our yard when I was kid. Boy, did we have fun using it as hideout, hide-n-seek!

The artwork you chose could be a very romantic setting by the pond. I like these lines ===

A sweet spot that sets the stage for happy lovers,
Whispers, "Go ahead and take the chance."

Very nice

Cheers
Keep Smilin'... Jax

To kiss and clench...which is why I will never understand weeping in conjunction with willow. My wife and I have our favorite willow, and, well, we never wept.
