Carolyn, this is perfect in syllable and line count. The ah ha moment at the end is a nice homophone with somewhat of a double meaning. Nicely done. :0 GracieAnn

Carolyn, I guess I'll have to go back and count. Some days I did two and couple days on the weekend, I had to wait. LOL

Excellent haiku as well as a 5-7-5. Nice play of words on "heir conditions". Good assonance with blow and soul. I think it's a fact that the constant sound of wind can drive you insane. It would me, I know.

Thank you for this great review and comments. Yes the wind does howl in Kansas. They have planted trees for wind breaks, but in earlier times, there was nothing to stop the constant blowing and sound of the whistling wind. :-) Carolyn

We took the northern route home, we normally go through AZ, NM.Texas, OK, and home. This time coming back, AZ,NM, CO, KS and then MO. Unbelievable scenery. The trip itself was 'soul soothing'. Are you close enough for a cup of coffee? Thank you for this wonderful review, yours always mean a lot to me.
:-) Luff, Carolyn

We stopped in Kansas on the way to Colo. And a storm was following us everywhere we went you may have seen it on the news that year where people's car windows and building were getting hit with baseball hail. We seen a tornado starting to form the next morning as we headed out, thank God we didn't have to experience that one.

Thank you so much. Then you can follow this one well. The whistling wind is only topped by the 'freight train' sound of a roaring Tornado. So happy you missed the one you saw forming. (We are finally home, arrived late this evening, so glad to be back in Missouri) :-) Carolyn

We just drove through Topeka yesterday. We decided to take the upper route home this time. AZ, NM, CO. KS, then Missouri. It was a very interesting drive. I am so far behind on my replies, but thank you so very much Jerry. Coffee would be nice. :-) Yes, almost to the end of my poetic journey. Thank you for you loyalty and support. :-) Carolyn

April is almost over. Time sure does fly by. I've enjoy your poems for National Poetry month, Carolyn. It has been a busy month for you.
AprilShower (National Poetry month kind of goes with my moniker. Guess it's because I would like to be a great poet, too.)

Well, I did not know that about Kansas. Well, if I did I have forgotten. I do know they have a lot of tornadoes. I think I am glad I don't live there! Nice poem. Miss Sally

Carolyn, I found your poem to be an excellent piece of poetry.
And it shows your inventiveness and creativeness. I just want to ask you why you used the word heir? Thank you for sharing and posting this for others and may the Lord be with you always.

Hi Carolyn,
This is another nice poem and a good read. I can imagine that you're glad you're almost to the end of writing a poem every day. You have done a magnificent job though.
