Sure thing, dip, share away, lol.

I'm really happy to see that you liked reading this one. I realize it's quite a bit different from my usually dark poetry, but my spooky muse took a brief break that day, ha ha!

I truly appreciate the fabulous review, my friend!

I'll try, but I don't think the animations will work on facebook. The picture isn't a problem, however.

Such a lovely and positive piece of writing. Nice alliteration, along with rhyming that's as smooth as the message is. Why are we in such a hurry? Guess it's partly habit. Love the title to this. Great job! Les

Kinder, gentler muse...c'mon, I know that ain't no butterfly- that's Mothra! Seriously though, well put. We all need to slow down and wonder. The reason we don't- we do forget the mini me that resides inside. Just one complaint- "yon" seems out of place.

Overall greatest in this piece. Beauty things when that followed with ease. It captures the essence of the fourth that is children. I don't have children myself, yet, but I truly can't to bring something that great into the world. Thank you for sharing.

Is it true, we gain wisdom with age;
couldn't we all learn a thing or two?

Very well done and profound, Dean! With age we collect knowledge but in doing so sacrifice that sense of wonder only kids have...or us old folk with those kids alive and well inside us. I still marvel at butterflies and seeds sprouting and birds building nests that I could never construct in a year!

That's why it's nice to have children and see the world fresh again through their eyes. They notice little things that we don't notice with wonder-the fur on a caterpillar, the veins on a leaf--oh wait! Poets bring them to our attention again.

Hah, yeah, sometimes they do, Spit. Well, in reality, they do it quite often, lol.

    Thanks for the entertaining review!

I like what you are saying, Dean and I agree with you. It is such a lovely poem, and I also think we could learn a lot from children. At what stage of our life do we change? When do we lose that magic? Also I think we all should say those little words, I love you, more often. How much happier people would be! Excellent writing and a pleasure to read. :) Sandra

Thank you, Sandra. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me on this poem. I agree with you, 100%. We can retain that lost magic, I believe. Just observe an innocent child and how they interact and view the world around them.

Thanks again for your warm comments and fabulous review.

OH! MY GOSH! A SIDE OF YOU THAT DOES NOT APPEAR OFTEN (the soft, mushy one) I LOVE THIS IT IS SO PRECIOUS AND THE BUTTER FLY AT THE END IS DELIGHTFUL ALSO. THE LITTLE GIRL LOOKS LIKE SHE IS AMAZED AND HAVING SO MUCH FUN. OH TO BE YOUNG AGAIN

Thanks, country! You are right, I don't show this side of my muse all that often, although some have suggested that I do it more. I'm glad you liked this one, and I appreciate your warm, kind comments and most generous review. Thank you, my dear firend. Much obliged!

So welcome my friend before I forget tell you daughter to watch the barrel racing films real closely and if she is a quick study she will see what I mean. Also all rider in all events like bull riding, bronc riding, and all the other tie down sports and watch clips to see how they can improve. How old is your daughter?
reply by the author on 26-Apr-2014
She is 17. The people at the ranch says she is a quick learner, and she is catching on very well.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it, and I know she will too.

Yeah, Dean, like the poet, Wordsworth, said, "The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;--
Little we see in Nature that is ours;"

The problem seems to come with the loss of innocence and the inability to recapture it. Relaxing and observing, without agenda is about as close as we can get. Thank you for holding that up to our consciousness, friend.

Powerful message written in enrich details. The poem is full of nature's beauty and the extra ordinary depth children have to soak in everything around them. We lose that ability to the noise of the world and other people when we grow older and stress is placed in our path.

Fantastic choice of artwork.
