Teresa, I found it amazing that I'm reading your poem today as of yesterday I save the butterfly he was bouncing against my window trying to get out. I set him free as free as your poem.
Your poem emphasizes this freedom, this floating freedom Which
soars like the butterflies themselves. Your picture was very creative in complement your poem very much your poem was very inventive and you resourceful In writing such a magnificent piece. Thank you so much for sharing and posting this work for others and may the Lord be with you always.

Loved this so much. To show that you can listen with out sound is awesome and your choice or imagery was great for this intent as well. If people would see that we have natural beauty around us maybe there would not be so much sadness in the world. Thank you.

To be a butterfly, the writer feels, is blissful. The butterfly with all its different colors flies effortless
and kisses flowers as they bloom....

The butterflies whisper words of wisdom. They busy themselves with work of love ...kisses of peace as they flutter by.

The picture of two butterflies with other smaller ones, bring into focus what the poem is saying. Dom.

A truly delicate and inviting depiction of the life of a butterfly. Such a simple and sublime existence to share. A wonderful ode to the butterfly with beautiful imagery and a lovely gif to compliment.

Hi Teresa,

This is a beautifully written poem. I love the picture you used to go with your wonderful work. I liked watching them flutter and fly by as I read your poem.

This is a nice ode to the butterfly. They are so beautifully delicate and peaceful that we are drawn to them. They have always been a wonder to me, and I think you have captured some of their wonder here in this poem. There is something about beauty that draws us in, nicely done.

I'm drawn to butterflies too and they remind me of my Dad who died 15 years ago. Thanks for the lovely review:)

Very pretty thoughts in this poem. Yes to be a butter fly, floating in the air with hardly no effort at all. Good word flow and rhyming, as you tell of the pretty butter fly.

Gorgeous presentation of your poem
excellent consonance in free flying butterfly
and alliteration in singing their silent song
vivid, lovely descriptive detail
good alliteration in whisper words of wisdom
I also really like the final section where you characterize the peaceful, loving nature of the butterfly
what a lovely wish of the kind of life the speaker would like to live :-) Brooke

I've never had a butterfly whisper anything into my ear, Teresa, and if one did, I'd probably pee my pants! I do enjoy watching these busy little creatures, however, as they flutter about from flower to flower, collecting their sweet nectar.

I liked the dream-like quality and fantasy feel of this wonderfully written poem. It is beautifully presented too, with your accompanying photo

Nicely done!

Hey thanks Dean for the awesome picture:) You have to listen to the butterfly's silent whisper. It's like God speaking - it's just there:) Have a happy day.

How do you make a picture animated like that and can I steal your picture to use with the poem? Also congrats on the horror prompt win - I knew it was you:)

You're very welcome, Teresa, it's always my pleasure.

Yes, sure you can use it if you'd like. Just click on the animation, and it will take you to where I have it saved. On the right is a menu, inside that menu are four codes. Click the HTML code to copy it, then paste it at the top of your post. The animation will appear, it's as simple as that.

There is something very peaceful about this poem. Free verse longing for the life of a butterfly - 'blowing kisses of peace as they flutter by you and I' - Lovely use of metaphor in this poem. Regards Dorothy
