Butterflies are so beautiful, yet it is so sad that they die after a few days of spreading their color and beauty to us all.
I enjoyed your poem it is uplifting to read.

Well done. Mary

What beautiful words you have chosen to describe a butterfly, and how they whisper and give their kisses of love to flowers and to us. I especially love the white ones, and was told by my Mom that they are from Heaven. After she passed, a lovely white one surrounded my daughter as she was resting outdoors in her chair. This butterfly flew around her so many times and wouldn't leave. My daughter said, "that must be Nan", and I agreed. The picture you chose couldn't be any better, showing the beauty of the butterfly, just love this. . .Sharon

I loved the story about the white butterfly. A simple plain yellow one kept flying around me one day when my deceased Dad was so much on my mind and I knew it was him. Everytime I see a yellow one, I know he is around me. Thanks for the lovely review:)

We sure do know when they come to us, don't we??? How comforting that is!

How light and beautiful the imagery. It makes you want to live forever just to around beautiful things and beautiful people. Oh how I wish that could be so.

Lovely image, and a nice array of pitta patter words too convey the lightness of this write.
Bravo,
RG

At first I thought my glasses was playing tricks on me. Tried to catch one but it flew away. Well done poet. Love the freedom it sings. Shalom my friend.

What lovely images of the butterfly you have painted with your words. They are delicately beautiful, like you said. You made good use of language and it was an enjoyable read. Lovely pic, too. Faye

What an absolutely lovely poem richly laden with imagery enhancing word choices! The flow is as smooth as a butterfly floating on the breeze and the meter is consistent throughout this piece. The writer really detailed the movements of the butterfly creatively in lines like "kissing each flower as it blooms". This is a unique perspective on how the butterfly flutters from flower to flower sipping nectar. I love the description of the wings as "paper wings" because they are so fragile and delicate covered in scales of color. Great alliteration in whisper/words and free/flying. The GIF moving photo depicting butterflies in flight that accompanies this poem and the pale blue background mirroring the sky help enhance the writer's vision making it clear to the reader as well. The tone of this poem is merry, upbeat, and whimsical. It fills the reader with thoughts of wonder and plays on the imagination. The slight rhyming pattern discreetly woven throughout the poem help the stanzas to become unified and allows the poem to flow well. The repetition of the first line again in the final line of the poem helps to connect the poem together as a unit. It also gives the words in this line a more intense impact on the reader lingering with them long after the poem has been read. A well written piece of poetry that allows the reader to follow the writer's thoughts and expand one's thinking to let in the impossible making it become possible. Eloquent imagery through carefully selected word choices!

Thank you so much for yet another lovely review. Butterflies are peaceful to me and remind me of my Dad who passed away 15 years ago. I'm glad you enjoyed this piece.

I love butterflies as well. There's a tale that says if you whisper your wish to a butterfly, it will take it up to Heaven to those you are missing. I think this is a lovely thought! You are truly welcome for the review! :-)

I really like, 'singing their silent song', Teresa. Apart from the clever alliteration, it creates strong imagery in metaphor.

Maybe find a sub for either 'kissing' or 'kisses', to avoid repetition.

A VERY nice read.

Best wishes, Ted

I tried to change one of the kisses to caresses but I just didn't like it as well so stuck with the original:) Thanks for the review and suggestion.
