Butterflies are so very lovely, all the different colours or just white, they are all lovely. I really enjoyed your poem, and your illustration, how do you do that?? This was a pleasure to read. :) Sandra xsx

Thank you Sandra for the lovely review. I didn't know how to do the animation but Dean Kuch sent me the picture with his review and gave me permission to use it and told me how to do it. It was through photobucket.com

I shall have to take a look in there. Thanks for the info! xx

You did it again, Brooke! You gave me a refreshing invitation to greet a new day... on the wings of a butterfly!
My favorite lines are "whisper words of wisdom to those who will listen" and softly blowing kisses of peace as they flutter by".
Thank you!

This poem lifts the reader with the free and enchanting image we can sense from watching butterflies gracefully drift through the air and stop for a photo opportunity. Feels good.

Hello Tab. I'm not sure if I read you before. Regardless, I found your Butterfly poem a joy to read. How in the world did you get moving butterflies into your artwork?
I enjoyed this stanza as I could picture myself sitting in my yard (if and when we get a summer) and seeing butterflies floating between all my flowers, quietly going about there business.
Nicely done. John

This is a sweet old fashioned piece and who doesn't love butterflies! (Love your moving picture - I have NO idea how to do that - I'm a techno-idiot I'm afraid). I'd love to see it written without all the "oh's" as it tends to 'date' the piece a little to my ears, but that's probably just me!
as they flutter by
you and I
Grammatically, this is a problem as the verb agreement would strictly dictate that they flutter by you and ME, not you and I ...
But as long as they're fluttering SOMEWHERE we're both happy, right?

THanks for the great review and as for grammar - in poetry no need to be so technical - at least not me:)

"Butterfly" is an exceptionally well-written and deftly descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review.

Hello TAB..,
Lovely piece of poetry beautifully spreading love and pleasant colors all around us!
Good alliteration as in - free/ flying; whisper/words/
wisdom.
Simple and impressive wording.
Pleasant flow with lively imagery.
"silently
they busy themselves
with work of love
kissing
each flower as it blooms
and softly blowing
kisses of peace
as they flutter by
you and I"
Excellent!

I love your description of the butterfly! I love the beauty of a butterfly and your description only adds to the beauty I perceive. Great job!

Butterflies are very beautiful, but on the downside they don't live very long, and I'm glad to hear they are issuing such positive messages. This is sweet and delightful, Giddy
