Yes indeed I feel the essence of your poetic calling in the movement of this poem as the stanzas reveal the purpose of personal revelation of deep reflection. It works well with a unique aaba rhyme scheme. Excellent entry. Good luck in the contest.

This is lovely and a marvelous description of what poetry means to you. Too bad you didn't enter this into the contest, I am sure it would have been a top contender. Very, very nice work with this one. I am slowly, very slowly, working my way up the list of posts I have yet to review....

I feel I'm having problems because I haven't had a fix of your poems for a while. Which is my fault. I've been really busy again. I feel so much better now.

Poetry means to you the same as you mean to the poetry, and both are a considerable amount. That is why I am glad to know and read you and happy I can make you a surprise...(sent in your email!)

Hi G,
thanks for the invitation... any insight of your wonder is worth the admission... from someone that swims in your waters and mind-swells how could I resist?
Wear me in your own cliché,
think often of me each day;
never let my dreams wander
gather them from deep and stay...
Sounds like my own wet dream... you my lady, bring exuberance to the page with your magic... yeah, I'd swim in these tropical waters all day long.
With our thoughts we create,
reflective projection,
James xx

Wear me in your own cliché
What a great line that is. Sort of tells it like it is.
This is an interesting study in Quatrains. I like the fresh approach.

Dear Pam - you have penned your post with strong images, the deeper reasons of what poetry is for you...not flat but has great depth to that inner knowing when you do pen it. I liked this one - nice approach to your introspective pondering.
Thanks for sharing it.

This is all beautifully written in a cadence matching the mood of the sea. I especially like this one:
I'm really like a blank page,
you may write upon my cage,
words of hallowed emotions
wage forth on a proverbial stage.
An excellent love posting and picture, my friend!

'Listen'- very good start and the word tells you that the write wants you to really 'listen' so that you will know what makes the poet tick and dare.poetry ,for the writer, is the expression of the unique cocktail of her mind-her own self, experience emotions and observation of everything around her .then ,knowing her is a complex journey od wading through the waters of her mind and going deep within.I am sorry i have no six left.
