Excellent

Good introduction that reveal the setting as the men head down tunnel annoyed by the dog's barking. Clear dialogue between the characters. Good description of the cellar which creates a spooky feel. Good transition between events. My curiosity is raised as Cash finds a broken fingernail. The mood is intense leading to a conclusion filled with frustration.

I have not read your other posts, but I surely will now. I am intrigued by anything "civil war"... Your use of dialogue makes character's come to life. Though, I am a bit lost, I could pick-up context clues...

You are very good at prolonging the suspense. Not too much that it get exasperating. But enough to make me wanna shake you for a few more chapters. I'm impatient, but this is getting really juice. More please.

We still don;t know where Paige is, but if Bradley is helping her, I', not sure who has taken her in the first place. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it's one of those seeking the treasure. Paige sure does find herself in trouble all the time. But she's smart, and Cash won't let anyone hurt her, I think.
