Perfect poem for Easter, and excellently written. I like the way you say in your authors notes, that, 'Nobody took Jesus' life, He gave is willingly'. He did, and we need to remember that. Excellent poem and a pleasure to read. xsx Sandra

Beautiful choice of words and imagery to convey your powerful message this Easter. I agree, too much emphasis I made on the less important things. Your rhymes were good and it had a smooth read. The illustration was great and it was an enjoyable read. faye

"A flower withers.." As the flower withers, so man will wither and die. Yes, it is true what you have written here, at least as far as we can understand the scriptures. Well done.

Praise God, for this tribute to His Son, Jesus Christ. Your words are so full of emotion and wisdom, if people would just remember what he gave so we could Live. God Bless you, Roy, I loved it and know the Lord does too. Blessings and Happy Easter

Thank you Matoska, for your wonderful review! I chose a scripture that stated that Jesus surrendered His life. That nobody took it! This always amazes me when I think of His wonderful Love for us all! Bless you Roy

You are so welcome, Roy. He chose to die so we might live, honor and love him. He cleansed us of all sins. It was a blessing to read, my friend. Blessings

Nicely done, and right on time for Easter. I liked that you opened and closed the poem, recycling the first four lines. Good job. Good luck on your writing. ~healfromwithin

You're welcome! I just posted a new poem, if you'd like to see it: "Makani, Aloha 'oe," which is in my profile's portfolio. Have a lovely Easter!

Imagine the Almighty Creator lowering to the rim of man to show His over all purpose for His creatures to live. You bring to life the art of His will, Oh, that I may sow into corruption and raise it to the incorruptible. My blessings. Happy Easter HE LIVES+

You have a beautiful Roy and when you write about your faith it manifests a special beauty within. I always see your writings as potential sermons in poetic rhyme.
I always imagine you at the front leading a congregation in poetic prayer.....and this only enhances that picture in my mind
well done Roy!

Thank you for your expansive review and support, they don't usually preach with rhyming poetry, Dip, but I do get to read it in church from time to time! Bless you Roy.

maybe its time to introduce poetic preaching in rhyme then I think it would be a hit amongst the congregation!
