Roy, what a wonderful poem telling the Easter story of Jesus Christ who died to save us all. Great AABB rhyme and great meter. Mostly I like the message:)

This poem is beautifully rhymed and perfect for
easter week.

This poem is beautifully rhymed and timely for Easter week. It is a time when not only is his death remembered but his resurrection as well. Not only is he forgotten by some but his teachings of love, tolerance, compassion, forgiveness, and charity are ignored as well, sadly by even those who profess him. Easter, a good time for reflection. Do we remember him for his suffering or by his teachings? To life them is forever, an ongoing endeavor.

Such a powerful and beautiful message. The story of a man who bare no sins, who has done nothing but loved his fellow man. I enjoyed the poem, the rhythm, and the message. I must admit your writing has certainly grown, be proud my friend. Good job.

A richly detailed, emotionally poignant piece of poetry! The photo accompanying this poem truly enhances the writer's words giving them asstronger impact on the reader. The word choices are bold, graphic, and create vivid images in the reader's mind. The aabb meter is consistently continued throughout the poem helping to unite the stanzas into one cohesive unit. The tone of this poem speaks of sacrifice, forgiveness, and the beauty found in life. The way in which the writer created the stanzas to mirror the various stories from the Bible makes the poem more symbolic in nature, allowing the reader to connect with it on a more intimate level. The flow of this poem is smooth as a result of the rhythmic pattern that is interwoven throughout the stanzas. The reader can clearly sense the writer's passion behind the word choices chosen precisely and carefully in order to convey an intense emotionally charged reaction from the reader. Well written and constructed.

Wow, this is as much a tribute to the amazing story of Christ's sacrifice, as the author, it more less wrote itself, It felt more like I was the scribe! But this such a wonderful review, I thank you so much, blessings, Roy.

Yes, we sometimes forget that man's sin has affected God's beautiful creation with which we have been charged with caring for, it also cries out for redemption! Beautiful review and observant remarks, blessings, Roy.

A wonderful retelling of our Savior's death on the cross for all of mankind, and a reminder that our lives are so very short in the overall plan of things. Beautifully expressed, as always, with a profound message on this Easter morning!

Wonderful poem that really speaks volumes about Christ's experience on the cross. Just a thought, but the lines about the dolphins seem a little out of place. Maybe it's just me, I mean they are God's creatures as well, but they don't seem biblical.

Yes you are right, I guess my only defence is that they are very much in the public eye and sympathy! In fact I can't remember them being mentioned in scripture! I couldn't think of a fourth example to round out the stanza! Very observant! I can only claim poetic license! Thank you for your kind and in depth, and generous review! Blessings, Roy.
