Very nice; I liked the image of the folly of drawing the curtains on the beauty outside to turn on reality TV - what an utter waste of time! Good job.

"Reality TV" I liked your Petrarchan sonnet you have created here and also enjoyed the structure you employed to aid the formulation. Well done.

I hate reality TV. Especially the shows where they yell and cuss and set people up to be embarrassed. They are like animals and feed off the misery of others. You are right Tony we need to be out enjoying mother nature. Good job. Nancy

Dear Tony - This is great, and deep! An honest approach to what is laughingly called "reality" TV - I am not a TV person, prefer instead to grab a book and read. However I can relate to this with my children. I was startled to see that they thought it was "real" - and how tied up in the program they got. I cancelled the cable. LOL - Which did the trick, now further away from it they can see the bigger picture, but it took a hard lesson from me to guide them into what reality really is. Powerful post my friend, skilled write.
Thanks for sharing it.

LOVE THESE BITS:
And draws around her limbs a silver gown
Orion hunt dreams wreathed in mystery?
To view by remote other people's plight, WELL SAID
Wild with the stars and fly brave through the night?
Is instant gratification...the curse or the salvation of the 'civilized' nations of the world?
Regards

Good use of the sonnet rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with down/gown...light/night. Good alliteration with through/the...lacework/leaves...dream/down...people's/plight...out/on/our...could/careen...wild/with. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

Excellent poem, excellent comment. But I guess some people
enjoy living from others's life's fantasies. Love the style ,
imagery and clarity . A gem. Pili

I Know very few people that actually like realty TV, I actually despise it with a passion! Somebody must be watching it! But this was a beautifully written poem, it flowed with articulate, descriptive language! I enjoyed it so much! Well done, blessings, Roy.

This is a lovely piece and an excellent picture of an old TV that was thrown out showing reality shows. Reality shows are nothing but wastage of time. Less sleep watching them and feel dizzy working the next day. We forget to enjoy the true beauty of nature. Loved reading and thanks for sharing
