Where have you been Pili? This poem is a very sweet poignant of a good-bye and I take it that your family visited you which is wonderful. I am almost afraid to ask you about your health so I will just say instead, that I hope with all my heart that you are doing better. xx Carol

The bitter-sweetness of memories - such visits are so precious yet always so fleeting. You manage to convey the intensity of squeezing every last pleasure out of it before they are gone!

The warmth that you feel toward your family comes through in this poem.
I like the last stanza a lot:
You give yourselves
without reserve...
Oh precious gift of love
a treasure to preserve

What a sweet message. I have 2 daughters that live far away and don't see them often. This brought tears to my eyes. So happy you had a nice visit. Miss Sally

eyes/hugs/soft/sweet caresses/smiles All those 's's enchant
open hearts talk Great line
Good use of parallelism, for ex:
past, present, future.
cuddles, hugs, kisses.
'without reserve'... Love the word 'reserve'

Ahhhhh, the great homecoming. There's something hidden here, though. It can't all be the sweetness of arrival without the contrasting departure from something less. Is there a love lost, career hopes shattered, both, neither... something though. Your poem begs the reader to search what isn't said.

This is a touching poem in which you explore family ties, love and the tight bonds which exist in families, sometimes all the stronger for having been apart. Well done!

Large silver bird
took you back
far, far away
where you belong.
But when they get angry they turn their way to unknown
