I admired your poignant poem that appears to be a naani. The striking carving is the perfect accompaniment and your use of alliteration is quite effective. Hugs and happy holiday weekend- Joan

In this well-written Naani poem, you have illustrated how tragedy can bring people and even whole societies together. An interesting, inspiring and thought-provoking read.

This is a lovely Naani poem, saying much in few words; an inspiring message. The carving by Jim Shalom fits well. Thank you for sharing.

I love the way this poem has open endings for each line except the last, which is closed.

Everything builds, line by line, playing on the three images that contribute to the human condition.

Then from the macrocosm of All-grief we drop with a thud to the individual expression of that grief, the microcosm of "one tear at a time."

Super job, who ever you are. I wish I had a 6 for you that you truly deserve.

In the wake of tragedy
the heart of humanity
bleeds in unity
one tear at a time.

I like this naani and the image is a very good one to go with your poem,
well done, good luck in the contest. Mary

This work has reached the exceptional level

Your true and heartfelt words are beautifully spoken in this poem. You meet the syllable and line requirements of the contest. Very nice flow. I enjoyed the rhyming of lines 2 and 3 and the alliteration with heart/humanity, tear/time. Powerful. Great picture choice, too. Excellent work ... Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest!

Thank you so much for the great review and the bonus six. I have been watching CNN and had to turn it off earlier. Breaks my heart.

I was watching it earlier too ... hard to watch without crying ... very heartbreaking. I could so relate and felt that in your words...
