I enjoyed the form and the wonderful winter scene. The shifting meaning in the repeats and your rhymes are quite effective. Thank you for sharing the photograph of the berry bush and adding alliteration for increased intensity. Hugs and happy holiday weekend- Joan

A beautifully written Pantoum poem, (I love the form), the theme of the berry bush was real and thoughtful, it shows how God looks out for all his creations...
My favorite line: "it's placed with care by God's own hand, A berry bush to feed to the birds"
The picture and the words, made for a lovely package, for me it's a 6 star poem!
Thanks so much for sharing, it was a joy to read
Hugs,
Victoria

I guess this is similar to an oasis in the desert.
This is an interesting style to use and serves the purpose of
Explaining this bountiful harvest which has appeared in the snow
Quite well.
A great image to use and interesting style with clever word choice and excellent choice of repeating lines.

Thanks Shirley. Never thought of it that way before, but yes, I suppose it is.

Amazing resilience resides
In nature's yield, beyond all words.
Its bounty shared, as it provides
A berry bush to feed the birds.
In nature's yield, beyond all words,
There's plenty food for them to find,
A berry bush to feed the birds.
In winter, GIVING peace of mind.
There's plenty food for them to find.
It's placed with care by God's own hand.
In winter, GIVING peace of mind.
The best of it is really grand.
It's placed with care by God's own hand,
A berry bush to feed the birds.
The best of it is really grand,
In nature's yield, beyond all words.
A berry bush to feed the birds.
Its bounty shared, as it provides.
In nature's yield, beyond all words,
Amazing resilience resides.
Excellent.

This poem beautifully illustrates the way nature provides in such an elegant manner for its many needy. If only we could see with the eyes of some of God's other creatures. I really enjoyed your splendid Pantoum. Warm regards, Bev

God places wonderful things in nature for our poor animals. It is indeed wonderful and this poem expresses the allure and power of that little berry bush. Well done, Tom.

Hi, Treischel,
"Berry Bush" is an excellent poem in Pantoum format and follows the requirements of that form. It has excellent meter, and rhyme and a rhyme scheme followed consistently. It has good figurative language and imagery (amazing resilience resides).

Wonderful pantoum, Tom, and brilliantly written. It speaks to how God provides for even the most meekly mild of His many wonderful creations.
Matthew 6:26: Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
A wonderful poem for Good Friday, my friend. Well done!

You're very welcome, Tom. If I'd had a "real" six, it would have been yours. However, I had to add a "virtual" six for now.
Happy Easter, my friend!

What an amazing job you did with this poem, Tom, there wasn't one line that was forced to complete it. The subject was delightful, such vivid imagery in each stanza, it really was a treat to read. Your photo is really lovely, Tom, your words and the photo truly compliment each other. :) xsx sandra
