This is a great poem with an intelligent look at what history has to teach us. I like your use of alliteration with rose resides, it's also good illustrative writing. I also like that you included nature as well as if history and nature are in tune, as they I think they are .

Your poem carries nuggets of wisdom. I like best the following lines," History leads the wise and drags the fool, let's learn from it as we do from the nature's rule,' . Thanks for sharing your poem with us, the readers. God bless.

: As you sow, so shall you reap - this is such a powerful truth - if only we all would understand and be cautioned by it.

There is a fresh wind in these lines, RP - a bracing (not abrasive, mind!) admonition and reminder about what life really should be about and be lived.

My best wishes in the contest. Have a wonderful week. :)

Sonali

Here, there, anywhere(,) whatever we

This is a very powerful message presented nicely in a poem. Sadly, very few learn from the past or, worse, create a passive attitude to compensate for wrong deeds done in the past. However, I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around and it simply feels good to do the right thing. Nicely done, Lou

This was really enjoyable,I enjoyed the rhyme and the flow was great , I loved the message, that we need to learn from the past, although we rarely do,

Good poem with a good picture, as you talk about the past. Good word flow and rhyming, as you tell of not allowing the past to ruin your future. Great message in this poem.

If we don't learn from our past, then we are doomed to repeat it. It's a tried and true theory, and one many should take heed of. Not only does this pertain to us personally, but to a nation, a generation, a people.

Excellent work here, RP. Very astute, sagacious writing.

This is an interesting poem, I guess I've been around a while, so I've searched the depths of most philosophical bents and have found that history repeats itself because men remain foolish, and sowing and reaping is infallibly true! I liked this abab contest entry a good one, the narrative smooth and compellingly persuasive in its delivery! The meter was nice and even! Well done, blessings, Roy.

This is a very well written poem. I enjoyed reading your story and I certainly agree that Mother Nature and the history of our past will advise us on what to do, if we're not foolish and ignore their advice. This is a wonderful poem. Bill
