Dear Carolyn - I love the "feel" of this work. Could almost feel the "holiday" mood as I read it. Another well penned post for the Aprils poetry month.
Great over all work and I enjoyed the read - made me smile.
Thanks for sharing it.
Maureen

Thank you dear Maureen, Yes this was a bitter-sweet trip. Larry's Dad passed away on our way home from Tennessee. We are now in Phoenix, AZ. I am so happy this made you smile. I pray you are doing well. Love, Carolyn

Gotta give this 6 RATING, BECAUSE OF your great imagination
with the galaxy chasing each other around with racing and flirting. LOL

Keep 'em coming!

Your Friend.
Jerry

PS We lived in Bowling Green Ky. for about five years. Loved it.

A wonderful write about the thoughts of going to a son's home. The stars, moon and even the clouds there do welcome us besides the joy of family reunion.
What a great way to spend time with our siblings and who can complain? Smiles.
Enjoy your stay in Tennessee and enjoy the fresh environment there too.
Cheerio, hugs and luff, bro Ritchie. :))

In your travel notes you captured the mood and the sites in one. It has the feel of Japanese haiku and captures the moments quite accurately, I thought, Giddy

This was an excellent poem. A mini adventure. I had alot of fun reading it. Great vivid imagery presented, and well chosen words for visuals in motion. and an excellent finale. Great work, and God bless.

I like the pattern of couplet/triplet/couplet
nice alliteration in stars/southern sky
fanciful use of personification
blossom in it's warmth - drop the apostrophe
lovely detail and a warm feeling :-) Brooke

This is yet another interesting and beautiful poem about the joys of spring from the author in this piece of writing. Family reunions are fantastic. There is nothing like it in the world.

This is a very accurate description of a long night driving trip. Looking forward to whats at the end of the ride gives the poet eyes of optimism to see these beautiful things.

It occurred to me that the trip back to my father's funeral gave me different eyes. Eyes that saw the negative blackness rather than the beauty.

I am sorry about your father. The reasons we travel certainly affect our outlook on our surroundings. Thank you for taking the time to review. :-) Carolyn
