It is a great experience to be a grandparent. One that is hard to explain. Just wonderful. We have four children and each of them have 2, so we have eight grandchildren ranging from twenty-two down to five. We love them all. I am not aware of a particular meaning for Kohl ton's name, however now that you mentioned it, I will research. I want you to know how very much I enjoy your comments. :-) Carolyn

Carolyn, this is a tender tribute to that special kind of love between grandparents and grandchildren. What a joy they can be. Solid variable rhyme and steady meter. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

AWWW "Granny" what a wonderful tribute to your Grandson.

God has privileged us with 15 Grnd.Children and 5 Grt. children, all grown up except for two boys - and what a joy they are. "If we had known what a joy Grandchildren would be We would have had them first." LOL

God bless,
Have a productive weekend,
Your Friend, Jerry

Ah-ha! That's where the double-digit comes in! Your poem is so unpretentious, reads easily is so full of love and pride, and if that's the picture of the lad, you are deserving of both -- good looking boy!

Keep your poetry as direct as this. Love it!

My pleasure. I love seeing love in a family, especially inasmuch as I'm a Grandfather seven times over, and they are loveable, all!

A personal voice for a son on his 10-year birthday. The poem, as well as the picture, complements each other. The poem is formed nicely. The poem started on the birth of the kid, Kohlton. It expressed the writer's feelings on the birth of the child, and the growing times of the boy to its 10 year of existence. The feelings are well expressed by the writer, the sentiments and the possible expectation of the family for the boy in his future years. The expressions are admirable and reflects the love and care from the point of view of a parent to a growing kid now closer to his teens. Congratulations. Dom

A great poem for a beloved grandchild. Ten is a special birthday, to be sure. its a bit of a passage, the pre-teen or tween stage. This is great rhyme and meter.

The tween stage, I like that, somewhere between, not quite a teen-ager. I enjoyed your comments and thank you for validating the quality of the write. :-) Carolyn
