Thick as thieves - A special bond people have for each other. Derived from the idea of "partners in crime". Smiles.
There are only two rhymes and both are done beautifully.
The robin nestled and hidden thick as thieves to rest. Thick green leaves to camouflage its whereabouts as it lay silently to enjoy the coolness of the day.
Great write. Brilliantly penned. Well done.
A Virtual six ******stars write as my sixers are thick as thieves lost inside the green luscious leaves, smiles.
Loved the flow and the ease of reading aloud with its tempo and metaphor. Bravo!!
Cheerio, Ritchie. :))

A very good and descript triolet of this little robing hiding amongst the leaves. It is interesting to watch what the little birds get up to. If you don't keep alert you miss so much of what is happening in nature. Well penned. I enjoyed. luv jada

This was really nice, I loved the wording and the last line was really nice, it really captured a moment I felt and gave the overall feeling of a glimpse at nature, great writing,

Great shot with a good eye for the hidden (so they think).
I love to listen for bird calls then try to visualize them.
Trees are such a protective environment for our feathered friends.
Thanks for sharing..

Thank you MolronE. Yes, I was out walking today and heard/saw geese, ducks, seagulls, robins, cardinals, and red-winged blackbirds. The migration back is definitely on.

Hi, Treischel,
"In the Underbrush" is an excellent triolet with good meter, rhyme and a rhyme scheme consistently followed. It has good figurative language and imagery (thick as thieves).

Thank you Sandra. If you look closely, there's actually two birds in that bush. You just slightly see the belly and part of a wing to the left of the main bird.

Of course I had to go and look, and yes, I could just see it! You were really lucky to have gotten so close without spooking them. You must have a really good zoom lens on your camera. I always think it is better to go for a really good one and get the shots you want, then make do and miss out. This photo proves it. xxx

Sometimes the smallest of birds sing the sweetest of songs.
I enjoyed this very well written Triolet poem and the endearing subject choice.
You have done well to capture a photo.

Dear Tom - that is so great - I was just this evening noticing more robins and when they sing, I am mesmerized. A lovely post and one that captures what I have witnessed Robins doing even in my yard. Excellent skilled writing as always.
Loved it :)
Thanks for sharing it.
