Hi, Debbie. How have you been? I really like hyour new poem: I am so anxious for Spring to be sprung.

"The earth is slumbering in a hallowed trance
Under the thrall of a chill mystical spell."

Bravo! Bob

Thanks so much, my friend. I am well other than I have over-committed myself with writing projects outside of Fanstory. I need to quit volunteering for things I don't have time to do. Take care~Debbie

Debbie, this is such a positive poem for you to dwell upon as winter spills her last hurrah.(guess I'd better do a poem on that line-LOL) In Texas, we are seeing tress starting to leave out and I planted rose bushes today. Hang on my friend Spring is coming! Well done. :0 GracieAnn

love the picture

there is a haunting beauty in winter's soldiers, the trees, and the budding out is marvelous

also, time to put away the quilts and comforters and check the ac units...

nice poem. thank you

This is a very descriptive poem that many I am sure could relate to.

Even as I type, I have little starter boxes filled with cherry tomatoes and yellow crooked neck squash sitting on the bed cover of my truck.

Fortunately, or unfortunately - depending on how you want to look at it - they are getting rained on today.

Thanks for sharing this. JW

I must agree I can't wait for some color here too. I have seen the seed packets in the stores, the clearance of the winter coats, summer clothing on the racks so anxious to get outside with the bugs, the birds, the flowers, fresh air. Beautiful flowers you not only can write you have a green thumb as well. :) Terrie

Excellent use of imagery and great choice of rhyming words here. I especially like "packets" and "jackets" and the line about winter's "barren branches" with nice alliteration as well as assonance!

Debbie, I like it very much because it was clean, crisp and quite brisk in its sincere and simple wording. I also find it very and ruminative and enriching and awe-inspiring forward spring is all right around the corner. I could imagine the flowers and the seed packets in the window of a shop and see the flowers starting to bud breaking the ground. Thank you so much for sharing and posting your work for everyone and may the Lord be with you always.
Alex
