I'm almost too late to read this chapter, Barbara. I enjoyed reading it, but wanted to read more. I'll have to go read the next chapter right away. It looks like these two will get married soon.
I have no suggestions.

I wish I could find something to suggest to improve this story, but I can't. I love your ability to show the characters's emotions so succinctly-- as in this line:
"Yeah." Cash studied the staircase.

Yumm - butter pecan. Maybe a southern thing. I'm on site to learn, and I want you to know that I've paid lots of attention to your work. I love how smoothly your dialog glows from character to character. I struggle. You make it look simple. Always warm regards, Bill

People who just come into your story not having read some previous chapters (especially the ignorant ones) would scuff at what they would say as a meaningless chapter. But I understand how valuable it is for your characters to seem like ordinary people. In the midst of problems, they order pizzas and salads and buffalo wings. I love your style. Very realistic.

Very nice. It's true a man rushing behind the lady he loves can appear like a love sick puppy. On his own he would likely say and do the wrong thing. Advice from a woman is a treasured thing. Well done.

Oh my, I had had Irish hugs and now Venezuelan hugs. I am a truly blessed person. Thank you very much for the kind review. Plain old US hugs.

Mary Pat stood in the doorway with her hands on her hips. "Cash, you won't look like a lovesick dog, you'll give her the impression you don't think she's capable of handling things. No woman want's a man to believe that."
LOVE that line! Beautifully written and kept me interested the entire time! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the catch. Again, I honestly do edit. I was on spring break last week. Back to the old grind. I have made the change.

Paige retreated to her room an wouldn't open the door. Cash had no idea how to handle the situation but after advice her favourite ice cream did it.

I've been away for a few months, but I can see Cash is still chasing Paige, and she has developed a few amorous feelings for him. As usual, she's in some kind of trouble, and the stalwart Cash there to give her emotional support.
Both true to their characters!
Cheers,
DW

I know. This novel isn't as long as it appears. I have had to post short because of my paying job. Thank you for the kind review.
