This is very well written, Barbara. I am wondering about one line. It says Billy Joe knelt down so there eyes met. Since Nala drives a car I thinking how short is this girl?
Cash had walked her to the door, so she wasn't sitting down. Nice chapter. Miss Sally

When everybody walked into the manager's office, I state 'There sat Nala'. I guess I could stay she stood before she left with Cash. I just figured everybody would know that. Thank you for your idea.

I thought that too. Barbara, but I reread it and it says Cash took her hand and led her to the door. That was before Billy Joe talked to her.

Hi Barbara,
I was wondering what had happened to Nala, and the sculduggery at the store fitted the Walker image nicely.
Excellent resolution of this part of the story. Well done.

I liked this piece. It is classic soap opera.
Larry sat down and ran his fingers through his medium length dirty blond hair. "I'm going to be fired, aren't I?"
"Looks like it. My attorney will be in touch. Losing your job is the least of your problems. Since you're the asst. manager, I may sue the entire grocery chain." Paige titled her head toward sirens. "The police have finally made it."

Apparently premiere members only get to give out six stars ratings. Oh well. I'm just like a lowly newbie, reading only. LOL. Anyway I like this. I don't think people realize how accurate this is in some places in Dixie, the way Nala is treated and how the good ol' boys are connected with the local police.

I don't think they realize it either. But racism is alive and well. I will still send hugs your direction, even without sixes. I always enjoy hearing from you.

Poor Nala it seems that someone is out to get her for her closeness to Paige. She would never steal money from Paige so they picked the wrong thing. Sigh.

I felt sorry for Nala and she couldn't do anything because she's black and in the south. Thank you for the kind review.

Well it looks like Paige is finally freed from all the pests. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Free of pests should allow time for her and Cash. We shall see. Thank you for the kind review.
