Hi, barbara. I can't believe that I missed a post. It's well written, and I always enjoy your dialogue.
I hope you son is better today. Did they find out what caused the lesion?

I didn't post at my usual time because of Steven. No idea as of right now what caused it. It's extremely rare. Thank you for the kind review.

Walker was really a horrid guy, wasn't he. Great chapter and I am glad I went back to read it. I am off to read the next one.

Billy Joe knelt down so their eyes met. "Neither's mine." He patted her hand as he took the keys. - Oh I need to meet my Billy Joe. I swear that good ole' boy is working his way into my heart.

Poor Paige, she hasn't had a chance to really process killing Walker. Or considered the ramifications concerning the rest of the Walker family. She's gonna have a lot on her plate.

Hi Barbara:)
I am sorry for taking so long to review this post. I thought it had th usual good dialog, but unless I missed something, you need another part between this posy and the last.

For example, what happened to Dwayne Walker's body? I'm sure they didn't just leave him lying there and go looking for Nala. If they had called the police, I'm sure they would have taken up the rest of the say investigating his death. Nala would have been the least of their worries once the investigation started.

Obviously the police were called to deal with charges against Nala, but wouldn't they still be working on Walker's death?

I know you were distracted ivwer your son's heath, but I think you have a major story flaw that needs to be fixed.

As usual I send you love and Irish Hugs for support with your writing,

Roger

Detective Davis came to the house. Yes, the police was called and Paige was rather feisty with them, talking about if they had done their job; it wouldn't have come to this. Thank you for the kind review and dropping by.

barbara:

I think you are tying things up nicely. I especially
like how you never let Paige lose faith in Nala and how
Cash and Billy JHoe never allow Nala think too little of
herself.

I'm glad to hear things are better with your son. I pray
he will continue to get better.

love,
jan

Poor Nala, what an ordeal. She goes to buy food and get detained and accused of stealing from her employer. Paige handled the whole situation well. I love strong characters who are not afraid to stand up for themselves or their friends. Great chapter.

I didn't realize Paige had so much grit...she stood her ground and got results. Will Paige have continuing problems with the Walkers?

Take care,

Ray

Barbara, I haven't been on the site a lot, so I missed the news about your son - I hope he is recovering well.

This is another enjoyable chapter part, and a good 'twist' - it was unexpected and really well-done. Nala must have been so worried, and Paige must be fuming.

Steven is doing better. Still not 100% and is still facing surgery. Thank you for asking. I appreciate your kind review.

Good clear dialogue between the characters. Good transition of events. The piece gets intense as Paige argued with Larry. Larry finally breaks down with guilt and sadness. Nice steady pace leading to a conclusion of take out, comfort and alone time. Good work.

Dear Barbara - seems those Walkers have a great big pocket - yet Paige holds her ground time and time again. Great writing with strong imagery, easy smooth reading and I thought the scene with Larry Matter was great.
Thanks for sharing it.
