So it seems they need to get Bradley's help to find the treasure - if there is any. Except for the jewels and such, I'll bet a lot of it is confederate money - which if it is in good condition is probably worth something for collectors.

Oh, goody, a ghost. The plot thickens. Now to dig for the treasure. I think they should try and contact Bradley. I enjoyed the visit with the old guys. Was nice to hear them chatting. luv jada

This is wonderful. I enjoyed the dialogue and Amos's story so much. Some interesting history about the Walkers, too, and how they put the slaves out to fight the pirates. Intriguing comments that the best way to locate the treasure would be to ask Bradley. That should be interesting. Maybe they could have a s©ance! Great touch at the end when Billy Joe says there's no such thing as ghosts and the car's engine stalls and the wind starts to pick up. It does seem that the Walkers have been mischief-making for generations. judi

Hi Barbara,
It's best not to provoke a ghost who has already given a taste of his ability to be mischievous. Sounds as if Cash and Billy Joe are about to have a face to face encounter with Bradley Bookman (Deceased). Should be entertaining if nothing else.
Good chapter, and Amos ain't no fool either'. I think he knows more than he's letting on.

Are you getting ready to let the guys meet "Bradley" so to say? You could have a bit of fun with them, especially since this is fiction. Good chapter. God loves you and so do I.

Your sense of dialogue and dialect sure bring this chapter alive. I only found itsy-bitsy things to fix:
He'll tell ya or at least I bet he'd tell dat purdy Yankee."
Put comma after He'll tell ya
"Sho didn't"
Put period after didn't
Its fifty-nine years,"
Its should be It's
"I think the Walkers whole family's evil."
I would put an apostrophe after Walkers to show possessive form.

No problem. I am still trying to catch up on other stuff, too, ha ha.

Cash and Billy Joe are still trying to figure out this ghost business and I figured Amos knows a right bit more than he is lettin' on.
