Just going over to see what I have missed in order to catch up on the story. Remember reading a part of this story awhile back. Think I can carry on from here.

Perfectly alright. I enjoyed reading and I don't look for points. I would have read further if I had the time. I am a little behind in my reviews.

Hello there. I like this character. I can hear him speaking without it being too much. Well done. I enjoyed reading this chapter. It was smooth and easy conversation, especially at the end with him owning the place and his Yankee wife. Nice.

Such a well-penned and enjoyable read. I continue to find the dialogue interesting and the characters fun and lively. I look forward the next posting.

The characters seemed interesting and the dialogue real. The story about Walker and the pirates was interesting. It was a good thing Walker could defend themselves from the pirates. The reader should know that once someone declares that there is not such thing as ghosts that something will happen.

HI dear B--Sorry I have not been able to read all chapters, but it's always easy for me to dive back in as your writing I well paced, easy to read and he authentic dialog enhances characterization. I get drawn into the scene of your chapter but do not know the full plot to comment intelligently on it. :)

You do a great job of enhancing characterization by describing gestures and other sense in action tags. Well done.

One suggestion:

*Finally(,) Billy Joe asked, "What do ya think about the ghost and the treasure?"

*
"I think the Walkers whole family's evil."

I'm not sure is there should be an apostrophe before or after the 's' on walkers...depends if their name has an s usually, or not.

Walker's or Walkers'

Nice closing hook with a wind picking up at the 'negation of ghosts' Witty!

Love,
rd

Even though I have not read any other chapters I found this one to be quite interesting. Writing the language used at the time is one thing I do with my novels. It really accentuates the history and stories of those days. This one sounds really good and no doubt the rest of the story will be. Lesley.J.Mooney(Dancerwriter)

Well, I got sidetracks and have missed a few chapters since the trip to Atlanta, and although I was a little lost, that didn't keep the story and the writing from being entertaining. I don't personally talk like your characters, but some people from where I'm from do, which makes it even better for me. Great job.

I don't speak like that myself, but I know people who do. I am not making fun of them. I am trying to show their character. Thank you for the kind review.

I understand. I never thought for a minute that you were making fun.

"You didn't tell them you owned the place, did you?" - Love it, way to funny.

"One thing I know for sure; there ain't no such thing as ghosts." Billy Joe tapped the dashboard. The car's engine stalled. Billy Joe's eyes widened as he whispered, "Cash, did the wind just pick up?" - Love it!

Respect the ghost, respect him. Especially, since Bradley is watching out for Paige. Goodness knows she needs as many guardian angles (or other) as she can get.

Also the character of Amos is so endearing. I can just envision an older man with an unruly white afro, dishin the country lore. Just perfect.

Thank you for the compliment. That's the way I envisioned Amos too. I enjoy him so much that he will return. Thank you again.

Another outstanding chapter. Amos cracks me up. The intrigue with the treasure continues on. You left us with even more suspense, which I enjoy immensely. Well done!

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

When is this man going to clue in? I think Bradley's going to have to materialize full body apparition before Cash agrees that, yes, there's such a thing as ghosts.

This was well done, Barbara. The challenge of the dialogue was well met, and I really enjoyed the little bits of humour, not to mention the creativity of the backstory.

Bravo.
