As you already know I love to follow your chapters and poems. This is such an awesome story. I love Paige, however, I will be glad when she is finally settled and has a for sure place in her life. This keeps meon edge.

Barbara:
Now I know why I never win when I play poker - I always
forget to take the ghost who lives in my last house with
me (actually, I gave it up as a lost art)! Now my grand-
daughter has reported seeing him. Don't think there's a
treasure there, however.
thanks for sharing
are there going to be gator skin boots made?
love,

I'm with Cash on this one, I wonder if there really
is a treasure. Once again, the dialog used is
exceptional and the part 3 is simply excellent. You
have done and outstanding job keeping your reader
interested.

Aww, come on! You can't leave us hanging like that. LOL!
Worth millions, eh? I love a treasure hunt - this is so exciting - I can't wait to see where it is. I like that Amos has pretty much confirmed Bradley's existence. Cash has to be starting to believe it now.
A fun post, although I could have read on!

This was a fascinating chapter, Barbara, and the inclusion of the gator just makes it even more realistic, in my opinion. Even the way you wrote the dialogue as Willie entered the restaurant was so authentic, I could picture them.
Wonderful chapter!

Great story going. Interesting bit about the alligator. I wouldn't care to eat it in any form. Amos has quite a story to tell about the treasure. The stories about it are true, although Paige has never heard them. Gold and other treasure were stolen from the plantation homes and wound up in the hands of gamblers. The story also had the ghostly Bookman telling Isaiah what cards the other men had. Walker lost and Isaiah won the water rights and apparently had the treasure. Very interesting history. Sounds like the treasure could indeed be hidden in an underground tunnel. judi

This is very interesting and I read one other segment so it makes a bit of sense. The dialog and colorful characters enrich the story and the distraction of the "gator" is so realistic. (I grew up in a very small country town) Good luck with the book

A ghost who cheats at cards? Barbara, that's priceless! It's also stealing. The Bookmans are going to have to share some of the loot with the Walkers or there will never be peace. Well done. :) Nancy

this is very well written, Barbara, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where cash and billy joe find out more history about Bradley. I enjoyed reading it...
