This is another well written chapter. No spag spotted. The discussion and search for the lost treasure continues to mystify the characters.

A fresh and fascinating angle with the ghost helping the man to win card games and a fortune. I really enjoyed this chapter, Barbara. Looking foward to the next! Bev

I like the way this story is written. It deviates from the normal way of writing stories. It does because it quotes exactly how the words were spoken. And it is interesting to note that when you read it aloud, you could feel a particular set of people in a region or locality, best understood by them. If you are not used to it, there is a little sense of misunderstanding what the speaker is trying to portray. A case in point is that the word "they", is written for "da". "Ya" for "you" or the like. However, it is written with knowledge and skill. Congratulations.

Another great chapter, Barbara - everyone is eager
to find the priceless treasure and Bradley's still protecting
Paige. The dialogue is so neat - Alligator stew! Ugh! I
wouldn't want to try it - I hate alligators. We went to an
alligator farm once. Colin and I were bobbing to the
Cajun music and all these pairs of eyes popped up
from out of the murky waters to look up at us. When
we saw the gators leaping up high for pieces of chicken,
it made us realise that if they'd wanted to they could
quite easily have leapt up and taken us - the wooden
barriers on the board-walk weren't very high. Shivers!!

Now we know what kind of treasure they Ae talking about. Considering how valuable the trinkets and jewels would be it's no wonder everybody wants to get their hands in it. That also explains why Bradley is still hanging around protecting Paige. Thanks for another great chapter.

I love the atmosphere you created with this chapter. I could actually see the men running out side to see the alligator and then arguing over how big it is. The whole chapter played out well and was visually entertaining.

That alligator sounds awfully big. Is that the normal size for one? The ones in my lake are around eight to ten feet long.
I love how Bookman's ghost helped win the treasure. Now they have to find the right tunnel.

Thank you for the kind review. I googled alligators. I figured it had to be sorta big or the guys wouldn't rush out to see it. I
