Hey, Barb,

A little pie and coffee certainly did derive a lot of info from Amos and Clyde. Maybe they say something that can help.

Another good channel.

I don't know how I missed this chapter, Barbara. I had to read it before I read the chapter you just posted.

I am finding it hard to do my editing, the readings, and keep up with my daily chores.

I enjoyed this chapter and am glad I came back to read it.

Ho Barbara
as you would say this is an AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH chapter. You left me hanging. I think there will be a lot more to the treasure than you have told, & it's probably right under their noses

You've captured the charm and vernacular of the south. The interaction between characters has a smooth, realistic flow to the point it makes the reader feel as if he's part of it.

Take care,

Ray

Great use of dialect here. I definitely get an impression of where it is taking place, and how the characters interrelate. I have never met anyone who actually caught an alligator before; seems pretty matter-of-fact to Willie and Paul.

Hi, Barb. Excellent chapter once again here. Your use of dialect holds true as does your imagery and dialogue: Example: "Ya's be right. He was, but he came back in time for da Missus to deliver da baby, I dink his name was James. Anyways, he helped her." Amos set his cup down. "Ya see Bradley was a ghost dat had business to complete." He fingered the tobacco in his pipe. "I'm a figurin' he ain't finished yet, 'cause he's still hangin' around. My pappy said he'd help Isaiah beat da others at poker. Now, Isaiah I'm purdy sho was one of James brood." Amos put the unlit pipe between his teeth and nodded. "Sho was."

Suggestions: ""Ya must be da man smitten by dat" In view ofd the fact that there are two men, did you mean Amos was addressing "men" instead of "man" above?

Good job, Barb. Bob

I thought I had him point to Cash, so I thought it would be man. Maybe, I need to recheck it, thank you for the kind review,

Another interesting chapter. The plot is moving right along. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the treasure. The dialogue is well written and flows well.

A good continuing chapter. I like how a ghost is helping to get the treasure from the Walkers. I hope the boys will be searching the underground tunnels soon.
Great job Barbara!

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get around to reviewing this piece. As I've mentioned before, the hook to this piece is certainly the coloquial nature of the dialogue, which I've enjoyed immensely thus far. The narrative is progressing smoothly and the story is coming together nicely. Great work, thanks for sharing.

Good attention grabbing introduction. Good character balance. Good dialogue between the characters. The transitioning between the events is smooth. Good, consistent pace leading to a conclusion that ends with a good conclusion.
