This is no mystery story that holds the reader's interest and keeps him/her at the edge of the seat. All the same this story has the same effect of holding the reader's interest to the end. I was rooting for Ann's transformation, no matter how slight because of the love and dedication of her husband.
Extremely well written.

This is outstanding in every respect. I do not usually look at much other than poetry , but this really had me hooked. I love the way you brought characters to life and tell such a story of love. This is haunting in a lot of ways because as I get older I know so many people who have been through similar circumstances and it is not fun. However, yours is a story of humanity too and the truest form of love and devotion. It is moving and it is age that brings this so close to home because when I was young, I had no perspective on mortality. It is sad, but natural too and this shows the essence of grace and dignity on the better side of dealing with life.

What a wonderful review! Yes, age does bring us that sense of mortality, doesn't it? Dammit! I'm so delighted with your reaction to my story my dear - thank you so much for that wonderful six!
Blessings,

You are a great story teller V1234. You built this up so well with your father's backstory of genius, and your concerns for him trying to care for and improve a severely impaired mother. Your technical explanations enhance, not confuse, the central premise of the story. I found that your concern for your Dad's super optimism, led me to suppose that the mother/wife would in fact make the sound like no other; but that didn't matter, as the 'how' kept nagging me until the very end. It's a story imbued with love, and the hand of a wonderful writer.

Mark, I'm delighted with your wonderful review and for your thoughtful response. I was a little concerned that I was giving away too much at the beginning, so your response was really welcome. And BLESS YOU FOR THAT WONDERFUL SIX!

You have this knack of entering these contests when I have something good in them. I see your work in them, and know mine has no cahnce. I know, that's defeatist. I just love the way you tell a story.
