That final question sure is the $64,000 question! Why are these guys so convinced there is a treasure that Paige never once heard about when she was growing up? You sure have my interest piqued, and it has to be quite a substantial treasure, too, for this Walker guy to take such chances to obtain it. He seems to be getting more and more desperate and reckless. Brooke

I bet Morgan could have brought Walker down! I love that pooch.
Well, at least they have an eye witness. Paige. They should take her to the ER.
I wonder, too, what the Walker group knows about there being a treasure.

Hi Barbara,

Nice continuation of the story, Cash and Billy Joe arrived timeously. There must be a reason for the treasure story, and the detective is right to pursue it, since that seems to be the root of all Paige's trouble, but will he now arrest Dwayne - or will the Walkers already have their legal eagle on hand to spring him?

A nicely tangled web this story, it does seem to me that Paige or Cash may indeed have the right to the title of this place, and one of them almost certainly holds the key to the 'treasure'.

Plenty of action in this chapter as Paige gets into trouble and the guys rush to help. This Walker has been a pest for some time now and the police need to get to the bottom of the matter. I feel your writing flows smoother, Barbie. Well written. I enjoyed. luv jada

The cops best arrest this guy or i would say they are in on the mess going on somehow. At least this weak I'm not waiting to see how bad she's been hurt. Good chapter. I'm not sure if you saw that dejohnsrld (Debbie) has started a multi-poem book for birthday greetings for Miss Evelyn. Her birthday is jan. 12th. She will be 87 years old. She's home but she's weak and not gaining her strength back very fast this time. If you feel inclined maybe you can add a birthday greeting to her, she does love you so. Tom is sending her trophy so she should have it by her birthday, it is so important to her. Her health has me concerned. Thanks for all your prayers. God loves you and I do too.

A quick moving chapter, Barbara.
Paige hasn't had/ isn't having an easy time of it. No wonder she's afraid. And still the mystery of the treasure isn't solved - can't wait to find out about it.

it's a pity the chap got away

you're comin' (in) this direction

down the hill - hall

Good(,) the police are close.

there's a treasure?(")

I guess it's time for Morgan to prove his worth and find the treasure. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Paige always seems to be the one getting hurt. Sigh, now she will have to go to the doctor's again. The culprit got away it seems. Sigh, this is pretty involved eh?
