this is very well written, barbara, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where paige is not pleased with the answers the police chief gives her and demands that he respect nallah with a proper name instead of black servant

Sorry for the late response. At school it's semester break and we had a lot of paperwork to catch up on. I am now on break for two weeks and I have time to breath. I appreciate your help.

Another great chapter my friend. Our good friend Robina 1978 is dying of throat cancer. Ritchie999 is taking a vote for all to read about buying her an honorary trophy. Which is her dying request. So go to his page and please vote yes so she can have her request honored.

Shalom,
Erick

They meet with the police chief and discuss why the two would be given keys to the mansion. They chief seems to think they had the right. Meanwhile Paige and Cash grow impatient with him.

She inherited the house. Is she a distant relative to the original owners? I wonder where this story will take us. It's all about ghosts, and a romance that might take off eventually if they can ever get over the hump which is the north and the south's differences.

I have no suggestions. I'm anxious to find out what the mystery is, and if Paige and Cash get together at the end of the story?

Thank you for the kind review. Paige is sort of a distant relative.

Hi Barbara,

It seems the racism runs deep in Savannah if the Police Chief can't bring himself to say Nala's name and must make reference to her colour. But, at the same time, his staff seem to be Creole at least ... He must have a problem with staff relations.

You've managed to raise even more questions with some of the answers, and introduce a few more potential villains here. Hence the six.

One small correction needed I think -

... Dennison rapped his fingers on the desk." - drop the (")

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that picture and the description definitely gives one the creeps. They let Miss Evelyn ring me for just a minute today. I was so happy I cried when she hung up. On the psych floor they don't have phones in their rooms and i can't call her because I don't have the code word i need for them to put my call through. She made sense the 3-4 minutes we got to talk. She said she needed some books brought up to here as some of the nurses wanted to buy one. You can hear in her voice she's scared. God loves you and we do too.

Hi Barbara:)
At least Bradley Bookman isn't a "boo hag". I still think most of the manifestations in Paige's new home have been provided by real live villains intent on scaring Paige out of her home.

Maybe when everyone is questioned more pieces of the puzzle will be found so Paige and Cash can concentrate on each other.

I noticed only two minor errors: Boo hags are like vampires because they're undead [being ==> beings] that [feel ==> feed] off humans.{Two typos?}

Very enjoyable background on local superstitions. All you need now is more love and Irish Hugs for good luck with your writing.

This is high interest! Interesting background about the Gullah people and their beliefs about boo hags and your description of them. The Police Chief tries to answer the questions that Paige and her friends have, but they don't seem satisfactory. And the Gullah beliefs hold back the investigation. Now that Redman has been found, maybe he can provide some answers. Great reading, and spooky. I'm going with six stars! judi
